Tray forming - Amway

This project re-used an old machine which was already set up with gluing equipment. Using the custom vacuum head shown in the Collaborative robot vacuum head project, trays are grabbed from a stack, passed through an adjustable height glueing rig, then pressed through a form which folds over all of the tabs in order, then holds the tray until the next tray pushes it through. This allows for a fast cycle rate, and gives the glue time to cure. This assembly has been fully functioning for over a year, operating faster than initially planned, and completed over 30k under budget
